Jeez Dr. Kittybrains...I mean I loved this song, I also hope they hang onto it, it's got some of that old Wilco whimsy and flair that hasn't been as emphasized on their last few albums, and which I always enjoyed...but their "best song in years"?? C'mon man. I mean, c'mon, really? C'mon.
I was lukewarm on Sky Blue Sky for a while too (love it now though) and am downright cool on chunks of A Ghost is Born, and this song rocks, so I see where the good Doctor is coming from.
I like how Nels was representing Obama on his lapel pin and amp sticker.
John McCain had started to make serious inroads into the rock/jazz/noise fusion demographic. Fred Frith and Marc Ribot had been seduced by Palin. Thankfully Nels is still with us.

hilarious
I actually think this is one of their best songs in years. Hope they don't just discard it. Google around to find the mp3...

I just said ONE of their best. Not best, y'all.

I think what the good doctor is trying to say is: wilco is a modern day Hall and Oates.
